Recently, i visited realtek’s offical website to download its latest audio driver for window vista. During the installation , it requires me to uninstall the current realtek driver in order to proceed with the installation. I click ok and the program automatically uninstall the current realtek audio driver for me. Following all the instructions given, reboot my computer and everything, i am not able to install the realtek driver now. Whenever i tried to install it, it will say “Install realtek hd audio driver failure error code : 0×00000057″.

So now im stuck with my computer with no sound. Any idea how can i solve this? I’ve read alot of article regarding on this issue, but all the article is not helpful at all. Theres even an article telling me to uninstall Microsoft UAA audio driver , but the problem is , my computer doesn’t even have this driver. Even if i were to install this Microsoft UAA audio driver, i can’t , because its for windows XP. I’ve also uninstalled all the audio driver that is related to realtek

Can I install other audio driver other than realtek? I just need my audio to work. Thanks in advance.
Hmm , i’ve tried to install the ac97 codec, but half way through the installation , the setup just exit itself and nothing happens after that.
